Resurrecting the blog for a new purpose
If you are reading this, that means you have been chosen as one of the lucky few we wish to go to Japan with in 2016. It may sound far away now, but start saving monies now and you'll have a good time. So! First on the agenda, let's discuss WHEN in 2016 we would like to go in Japan. I vote spring! Either late March, April or May (just not on Golden Week, never on Golden Week ). What say you? Always take into account what your job and savings will and will not allow. Are you in or out?

ReplyDeleteI agree about going in the spring! Sometime when it's not too cold, so maybe mid-May?
Where will we be going in Japan? Tokyo and Kyoto for sure! Other places like Nagoya, Osaka and....?
Jeff talked about Hokkaido, I definitely want to go to Tokyo and Kyoto, maybe Chris and Sarah can show us the better parts of Nagoya. I agree mid-May sounds like a good time!
ReplyDeleteHm, maybe to narrow it down a bit, since Hokkaido is a HUGE area, maybe Sapporo would be a place to stay in. Although it is out of the way, they do have an international airport in Sapporo (Chitose airport) and it seems a one way ticket to there is costing about $1240/person to fly there from CVG on May 13 of this year. Plus, if we start up there and then work our way south we could fly out of Osaka. Although, man, it's way cheaper to land in Narita. That's only $985/person right now.
